ETP Bushings & Posi Lock
Shafts and hubs are traditionally coupled by a key and a keyway. However, this method has many problems, including the need for higher quality materials, higher precision in machining, and positioning during assembly. ETP bushings provide coupling by means of friction as a way to resolve such problems. ETP bushings are products that use friction to couple without use of keys, which solves the shortcomings and difficulties of key couplings all at once. They have two primary mechanisms, hydraulic and mechanical (wedged). Their advantages are that they are simple, compact, lightweight, easy to mount and remove, and easy to position and index accurately. This greatly reduces work from the design stage to assembly, calibration, and maintenance.
LM Bearings
LM Bearings Or Linear Motion Bearings are rolling element bearings which are used in most critical industrial applications. They generate much less friction than sliding bearings so they can use a smaller motor and drive system and can run at considerably higher speeds. Linear rolling bearings also eliminate the stick-slip effect that often causes chatter.
Encoder Couplings
Designed to grip evenly around your shaft, these couplings provide more holding power than set screw couplings without marring the shaft. Tighten the clamping screws to secure. Cuts in the coupling body allow flexibility to handle parallel, axial, and angular misalignment. Often used for light duty encoder and stepper drive applications, they allow zero backlash (no play) and never need lubrication. Also known as helical beam couplings / Encoder Disc Couplings.
Flexible shaft couplings transmit torque between two shafts and accommodate misalignment between the shafts under various load conditions. Misalignment can result in costly maintenance, and eventually reduce the life of bearings and accuracy of your encoder. Flexible encoder shaft couplings offer zero backlash and can accommodate a variety of misalignments and load conditions.
Ideal for encoders, these Couplings were developed to satisfy today’s higher performance requirements and can be used for parallel, angular and axial shaft misalignments, all while maintaining constant transmission of torque and angular velocity.
Clamp-style couplings provide a positive, secure shaft connection.
